Gid plays, or has played bass for The Bridge House Band, Rubik, Sticklebrick, Zeropunk and Tasha Fights Tigers. Gid is quite fond of communicating through a series of largely incomprehensible primitive grunts.

Clint plays, or has played drums in Gem and the Deadheads, The Bridge House Band, Gekko, Papaphone, The Runners, Sticklebrick, Tasha Fights Tigers, Stonegrass and The Zipheads. Clint is known to be quite fond of fig rolls ... as long as he doesn't have to pay for them.

Hey Jupiter

James Hingley

James appeared as "the choking lover" in "Bucket", provided a piece of music for the "Cling-film" project, and the character of "The Doctor" in "Nothing-Men" is based on his likeness. As well as lending Mark lots of his belongings, James also regularly helps Mark out with tricky technical things. Mark contributed some lyrics to James's mystery album enigma project: more info on this will be coming soon. James is rather fond of comedy and he also makes fantastic sexy websites (unlike this one).

Chris Hollis

Mark made the videos "Wood Vs. Evil" and "There's Nothing Sexy About Faeces" for Chris's comedy duo Spandex Ballet and also filmed Chris playing live in The Stuart O'Connor Band as well as with Vanilla Nightmare, and Chris also plays in Scream! Shout! Say Nothing and Frog Stupid. Mark also used Chris's voice in "Nothing-Men", too.

Bill Hooper

Bill has provided music and songs for "Bucket", "Sleep On It", "In a Roundabout Way", "Drawn Inward", "Beat Up the Rich", "Cling-film", "Palette", "Suicide and Crumble", and even "Nothing-Men" (even though it's a comic). Bill appeared as "the swan song singer" in "Bucket", featured highly throughout "Palette" and has also appeared in several music videos. Bill posed as Eddie in "Nothing-Men", he fronts the band Tasha Fights Tigers and Mark has filmed a solo performance by Bill as well as a performance by Bill and friends. As well as music videos for Tasha Fights Tigers, Mark also made videos for several of Bill's songs recorded as a solo artist: these include "Accidents", "Disunite" and "Don't Bite".

Vicky Hooper (nee Warby)

Vik appeared in "Bucket" as well as the "I Had A Dream", "Circus Stomp" and "Notes on Early Aviation" music videos. She also played the character of the newspaper editor in the "Nothing-Men" comic (and in doing so, she got to play Bill's character's boss). Vik was also a make-up artist for the "Lovesick Bloodlust" and "Circus Stomp" videos for Tasha Fights Tigers. Poor old Vik is married to Bill Hooper and she is fond of wearing the trousers.

Listen to more of Dan's tracks on his MySpace profile by clicking here and be sure to visit his official website here. Dan also appeared as Paddy in the "Nothing-Men" comic. Dan's wife is thoroughly fond of Dan cleaning (thoroughly).

Nick King

Nick "The King of Hertford" King used to play bass and share vocals in The 66 Kicks. He later resurfaced as a carol singer in "Space Zombie Christmas", appeared in a blink-and-you'll-miss him cameo in the "Notes on Early Aviation" video and he was also as a sexy and stylish thug as well as a stunning and sizzling librarian in the "Nothing-Men" comic. Nick is a dedicated follower of fashion (no matter how idiotic he looks) and his perfectly groomed beard, his ever-present red army jacket and his camp swagger provided ideal inspiration for the character of the deceptive gay sailor in the "Won't Lovers Revolt Now?" animation from "Palette". Nick King isn't fond of "facilities".

Katie Lawrence

Katie appeared as "the thief's girlfriend" in "Bucket". She popped up again in "Palette" and a few music videos including "Notes on Early Aviation", and she also posed as Ruth in the "Nothing-Men" comic. Katie is fond of very young boys with tight jeans and nice fringes.

Tranq Lobo

One of Mark's previous students, Tranq appeared as "Chicken Man" in "Palette", as "The Stupid Yank" in the "Nothing-Men" comic and also briefly appeared in "Notes on Early Aviation". Tranq is involved in various absurd activities: check out his MySpace here as well as his band The Zipheads. He is particularly fond of wearing the most inappropriate clothing for any given occasion.

Paul Ludlow

Ludlow has helped out with production and made appearances in "Bucket" and "Palette", and has helped with production on the majority of music videos that Mark has directed. Ludlow has also helped Mark film some recent live gigs. Ludlow has also self-appointed himself as being Mark's health and safety officer and so he often stands around tutting and shaking his head a lot while Mark is setting things on fire and blowing stuff up. Ludders also posed for the characters of Max and Luke in the "Nothing-Men" comic and he provided Mark with relevant and inspirational reading material. Ludlow's additional responsibilities include being the designated coffee maker (in exchange for stealing cigarettes) and to constantly reassure everyone that "it will be alright" ... particularly when it actually won't. Ludders is strangely fond of ladders.

Man Ray Sky

Mark made the video for the track "Vessels" and also put together some "mash up" visuals for the tracks "Press Record" and "Oort Cloud/Feelings of Loss" for Brighton-based experimental group Man Ray Sky (Andy Aruldoss, Mark Benton, Mike Shirley, Gee Sowerby, JS Thornton and Nick Wilson). Visit the Man Ray Sky MySpace here and their FaceBook here.

Ivan Mansutti

Ivan made a brief appearance in the "It Don't Come Free" video and then posed as "The Baddie" in the "Nothing-Men" comic (which is totally inappropriate as you'll never meet a nicer guy ... although he does look a bit scary) and then made an even briefer appearance in the "Notes on Early Aviation" video. Ivan plays drums in Furta Sacra for whom Mark made the videos "I am the Dustbowl", "Shake it like the End is Nigh" and "Bone Man" and also recorded them performing live. Ivan previously played drums in Tasha Fights Tigers: you can see Ivan getting involved in a more recent performance here. Ivan is also an excellent painter; however, he is not at all fond of board games.

Potters Bar's only celebrity, the legendary Barry Martin, made a guest appearance as "The Bonkers Postman" in "Sleep On It" and appeared as a paper-boy in the "Nothing-Men" comic.

Jamie Norman

Normski briefly appeared in "Bucket", "Palette", the "Nothing-Men" comic and the "Circus Stomp" video. He also contributed a song to Mark's "Cling-film" project.

Stuart O'Connor

Mark directed the music videos for "Dare We Claim Victory?", "Watching Paint" and "Map of Shibuya" for Stuart. Mark also filmed a solo performance by Stu as well as another set with Stuart and his full band (Stuart O'Connor, Leon Camfield, Riad Abji, Vicky Flint, Dave Smale and Chris Hollis). Visit Stuart's website by clicking here, his MySpace by clicking here and his FaceBook by clicking here. Also, check out some of Stuart's other projects: My Pet Junkie, Midnight Moth and Late Bus Records. You can also see the solo set in full by clicking here and the full band gig by clicking here.

Stuart Offord

Stuart danced about semi-naked and smeared fake blood all over himself in the "Don't Bite" video and then posed for the twins, Gerry and Johnny, in the "Nothing-Men" comic: both of these unfortunate events stemmed from the simple fact that Stuart worked in Mark's local pub.

Paramanza

Mark shot a video for the track "Therapy" by Paramanza, visit their MySpace here.

Andy Parker-Rees

A.P.R. has appeared in "Sleep On It", "Beat Up the Rich", "In a Roundabout Way", "Bucket", "Yours and Mine" and "Rise and Shine". Andy also appeared in several early films that Mark made when studying in Norwich, these include: "The 6 Year Sentence", "Mayhem" and "Sleeping With Sleep On It". More recently, Andy made a cameo as "The Bum" in the "Nothing-Men" comic. Andy is not fond of realising that his great ideas aren't so great once he sobers up.

Mia Peronis

Mia spontaneously surfaced in the "Now Sir, A War Is Won" video (from "Palette"), "Lesson One" and "The Venus and the Clown".

James Pressland

One of Mark's previous students, James helped out with, and made appearances in, "Bucket" and the "Red Dog" video. James also popped up as a football yob in the "It Don't Come Free" video and then posed as the character of "The Geezer" in the "Nothing-Men" comic.

Joe Read

Joe popped up as a random "drunk" and as one of "The Baddie's Thugs" in the "Nothing-Men" comic and Mark has borrowed/stolen various bits of equipment from Joe for "Palette", "It Don't Come Free" and "Cinderella Crash".

Julie Read

Jules apeared as "The Mayor" in the "Nothing-Men" comic and popped up in the "Vessels" video, too. Jules has also donated/loaned Mark way too many bits and bobs over the years for countless different projects.

Brian Reece

Bri played a gangster that was in love with a wok in "His father's Eyes": a shoot in which Mark broke Bri's lounge door as well as his toilet (to the extent that the bathroom totally flooded and an emergency plumber had to be called). Bri then played a man that lived in a tree - and in doing so - he spent several days walking through rivers and fields in a ridiculous costume (see above). This was during the original "Branches": a film that was never properly finished as Bri mysteriously disappeared without a trace and didn't answer his phone. Several years later, Bri resurfaced again in "Bucket", a project in which he had to cut off all his long hair, get slapped across the face several times and push Mark around in a wheel-chair. Brian no longer answers his phone: he is quite fond of not answering his phone (and who can blame him?)

Darren Ruane

Darren made a cameo as a "drunk" in the "Nothing-Men" comic. In the future, Mark somehow intends to utilise Darren's splendid photography for a project.

The Runners

Mark kept on nearly making several videos for the Hertfordshire-based band "The Runners" (Gus Cox, Clive Romanowski, Jim Thompson, and Clint Henderson); however, nothing ever really materialised. Mark filmed the band perform live several times and The Runners also performed at the "Bucket" wrap party.

Emma Sharman

Emma Sharman is a fantastic model maker and runs Antix Studios: check out the website here. Emma made some melting props and a fake hand for "Palette", in which she also appeared. Emma also posed for the character of Hope in the "Nothing-Men" comic, for which she also provided some excellent props. She also helped with production on "Circus Stomp" and popped up in it, too. Emma also made a very brief cameo in "Notes on Early Aviation". She is fond of cooking posh food (that Mark is fond of eating).

Melanie Shevlane

"Mel American" appeared in "Now Sir, a War is Won" in "Palette" (completely against her will). She has subsequently become Mark's conscience.

The 66 Kicks

Mark made videos for the tracks "I Had A Dream", "Yours and Mine" and "Re-ignite" for the Hertfordshire-based rock band "The 66 Kicks" (Ben Drake, Nick King, Scott Barnard and Chris Bruton). Visit their MySpace here , their FaceBook here and their website here. The Kicks are very fond of sexy corporate sponsorships.

Spandex Ballet

Mark made the videos for "Wood Vs. Evil" and "There's Nothing Sexy About Faeces" for the comedy duo Spandex Ballet (Chris Hollis and Leon Camfield). Visit their MySpace here and their FaceBook here. Both Leon and Chris contributed their insane voices to "Nothing-Men", too.

Mark has also provided live visuals, flyer designs for each gig, live videos, various bits of artwork and has also filmed a solo gig by Bill Hooper that you can see here as well as an almost solo gig that you can see here. Visit the Tasha Fights Tigers MySpace by clicking here and their FaceBook by clicking here.

Thousand Autumns

Mark directed the video for "I Chose Not to Remember" by Thousand Autumns (Josh Fox, Alex Williams, Marcus Dellow, Rob Jenkins and Sam Lidington). Visit the Thousand Autumns website here, their MySpace by clicking here and their FaceBook by clicking here.

Emma Tozer (nee Garvey)

Emma "Munky" Tozer sometimes tolerates her brother. She has also briefly popped up in "Sleep On It", as a shadow character in "Bucket", "Palette", in a couple of music videos, and as Jen in the "Nothing-Men" comic. Munky is not fond of her brother (most of the time).

Steve Tozer

Tozer was a "production assistant" or "boom swinger" in "Bucket" (or as he puts it: "held the mic for a minute") and also was a production assistant for "Circus Stomp" (or as he puts it "gave Garvey a broken record player") and "Dare We Claim Victory?" (or as he puts it "gave Garvey a broken TV"). Tozer has also helped Mark film a few recent live gigs and he appeared in "Notes on Early Aviation". Tozer breifly popped up as the third "shadow character" in "Bucket" and again as a "smoker" and as a "thug" in the "Nothing-Men" comic. Many years ago, Tozer loaned Mark several pieces of costume that are still yet to be returned. Tozer is fond of Crystal Palace.

Tranquil Fury

Boz has also helped Mark film some recent live gigs. Boz is known to be fond of "amber coloured refreshment".

Mark has done various jobs for Lisa's business: The London Extra Agency. Lisa is also an excellent actress and has appeared in several music videos and posed for the character of Susan in the "Nothing-Men" comic: see more of Lisa by clicking here.

Whazi

An over-intoxicated and hyper-aggressive Thoma Brainz somehow briefly surfaced in "Bucket", "Palette", "Don't Bite", "It Don't Come Free", "Circus Stomp" and "Notes on Early Aviation" as well as in the "Nothing-Men" comic . Almost all of Brainz's appearances have inexplicably involved him being dressed as a Priest. This contentious individual is fond of shouting and frantically waving his arms around in the air while furiously debating with himself about irrelevant subjects such as Winston Churchill, the Beatles and the pyramids, while also simultaneously managing to drop his pint of Stella and pull some poor girl's hair at the same time.

Alexander Wilkinson

Al produced music for "Cling-film" and "Bucket" and featured on two of the songs from "Palette". Al also appeared in "Bucket", "Lesson One" and "365" and played guitar in "Paos Blute" for whom Mark made the video "Red Dog". Al is very fond of bearing a striking resemblance to a particular celebrity chef.

Sue-Ellen Wilson

Sue-Ellen (or "Boo") made appearances in "Bucket" and the videos for "I Had A Dream", "It Don't Come Free" and "Notes on Early Aviation". She also played the character of Jaqui Kirby in the "Nothing-Men" comic.

Paul Woodcock

Paul "Junior" Woodcock has appeared in "Sleep On It", "In a Roundabout Way", "Bucket", "Palette", "Red Dog", "Space Zombie Christmas", "The Venus and the Clown" and the "Disunite" video for Tasha Fights Tigers. Handle is a founding member of the "Kettle of Myth" project and he appeared in "Sleep On It", "In a Roundabout Way", "Bucket", "Palette", "Circus Stomp" and as the character of "The Idiot" in the "Nothing-Men" comic. He is way too fond of his mobile telephone. As Handle would say ... "LOL".

Zeropunk

Zeropunk (Jesse Clark, Simon "Gid" Gardner and Jiri Frisco Fries) are a Hertfordshire-based electro/rock band from "the future". Both Jesse and Gid also appeared in the "Notes on Early Aviation" video. Visit the Zeropunk website here, their MySpace here and their FaceBook here and see the live gig filmed by Mark by clicking here.

Hector Zick Zack

Hector first appeared in Mark's work with his very own brainchild "Space Zombie Christmas". Since then, he has once again vanished without a trace.o

The Zipheads

Mark made a mash-up music video for "Blast from the Past" and also filmed a gig for The Zipheads (Tranq Lobo and Ray "Mysterio" Walters) at a Sinners Playground event that you can see here.
